Support
One person answers, usually within a couple of days.
Something got in your way during an attack, a question about Pro, an idea, a bug: write to support@umbradiary.app.
There is no account and we hold none of your data, so tell us what happened and, if it helps, attach a screenshot. If it happened during an attack, say so: that is the case the app exists for, and the one we most want to fix.

Common questions
Where is my data?
On your iPhone, and in your own iCloud if sync is on. Not with us. Settings → Data lets you export everything as CSV, turn sync off, or delete everything. The privacy policy has the full picture.
Siri does not understand "log a migraine"
The phrases include the app name: "Log a migraine in Umbra", "End the migraine in Umbra". They work in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian, in the language your iPhone and Siri are set to. Open the Shortcuts app and look for Umbra to see every phrase Siri accepts. If Umbra is missing there, open the app once and check again.
How do I set up the Action button, the widget or Control Center?
Settings → Instant capture in the app walks through each one. In short: the Action button is assigned in iOS Settings → Action Button, pick Shortcut, then Umbra's "Log a migraine". Widgets are added by holding the home or lock screen. The Control Center button is added from Control Center's edit mode, under Umbra.
How do I turn crisis mode off?
Crisis mode turns on by itself when an attack starts and off when the attack ends. If you switched it on by hand, the banner at the top of any screen turns it off, and so does the switch in Settings.
I ended an attack from the lock screen. Where do I add the details?
Open Umbra. The attack you just ended is waiting at the top of Today with a prompt to add intensity, symptoms, medication and notes. Nothing is lost if you do it later or never.
I paid for Pro and it is not active
Open Settings → Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. If that does not work, write to us with the date of the purchase.
How do I cancel a subscription?
In iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or from Settings → Manage Umbra Pro in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end. Refunds are handled by Apple, through reportaproblem.apple.com; we cannot issue them ourselves.
Sync is not showing my entries on my other device
Both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud on, and Sync with iCloud on in Umbra's Settings → Data on each. Open Umbra on both; the widget and Siri can log while the app is closed, but uploads happen when the app runs. Give it a moment on a working connection. If a device still lags after that, write to us and say which device logged what.
Does Umbra give medical advice?
No. It records what you enter and shows it back. It does not diagnose, predict or recommend treatment. Talk to your doctor about anything you notice in your history. If a headache is the worst you have ever had, or comes with weakness, confusion or trouble speaking, call your local emergency number.
Something in the app is wrong
A mistranslation, a number that does not add up, a definition you think is off: tell us. The sources the app relies on are listed in Settings → About → References, and we would rather correct a mistake than defend it.
Umbra is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
